A wholesome and delicious picnic experience for four, designed to be enjoyed in the beautiful Duchess Garden during the Picnic & Pinks event on 19th, 20th and 21st June.

Lovingly homemade by the Surrey Pantry team, the Poachers Picnic features a seasonal spread of Tillingbourne smoked trout, traditional coronation chicken, a summery asparagus tart, fresh salads, rosemary sea salt bread with oil and balsamic, and Pimms jelly jars for pudding. Each hamper includes a bottle of Chilworth Manor rosé and comes beautifully packed in a wicker hamper that’s yours to keep. You’ll be able to collect your hamper from the designated pick-up spot as you arrive at the event.

Lovingly homemade by the Surrey Pantry team, The Garden Hamper showcases the best of the season with a colourful spread of wholesome, vegetarian dishes inspired by the Surrey Hills—perfect for relaxed summer dining.

Menu

Mains
– Butterbean and chive scotch eggs, rolled in seeds and a panko herb crumb (egg, gluten)
– Cheesy spinach and minted pea Surrey pasties (gluten, milk, egg)
– Asparagus and Stinking Bishop wholemeal tart (gluten, egg, milk)

With
– Allotment salad: new potatoes, radish, cucumber, spring onion, poppy seeds, mustard and cider vinegar dressing (mustard)
– Buckwheat tabbouleh with cherry tomatoes, parsley, lemon, and mint

And
– Rosemary and sea salt sharing bread (gluten)
– Oil and balsamic

Pudding
– Pimms jelly jars with strawberries, satsumas and mint (sulphites)

Appearance: Very pale blush Provence style rosé
Nose: Rose petal and strawberries with cream
Palate: Medium bodied fresh and elegant with a lingering tome of rhubarb
Chilworth Manor Brut Rosé 2021- RRP £38.50
Appearance: pale pink
Nose: Pale salmon pink in colour and hints of brioche and fresh yeast on the nose.
Palate: The palate is fresh and lively with a steely acid backbone that is refreshingly balanced with a touch of residual sugar resulting in a harmonious balance and a long savoury finish.

Appearance: Pale straw
Nose: Toasty brioche notes
Palate: Warm and rich mid palate depth perfectly balanced with a steely backbone that leads to a long and balanced finish
