CATERING & SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

At Surrey Pantry Kitchen, we prepare delicious handmade food in Shere, Guildford, in the heart of the Surrey Hills.

We aim to deliver thoughtful catering while reducing waste and respecting the countryside around us.

Our approach is to:

  • Build menus around seasonal ingredients and source locally where practical.
  • Plan quantities carefully to reduce food waste while providing generous hospitality.
  • Use reusable serving dishes, crockery and equipment wherever suitable.
  • Choose recyclable packaging where practical and reduce unnecessary single-use materials.
  • Separate waste for recycling where facilities allow.
  • Plan deliveries and collections efficiently.
  • Leave kitchens, venues and outdoor spaces clean and tidy, with care for wildlife and the surrounding landscape.

Food safety, quality and suitability remain central to every decision. Please discuss any specific sustainability requirements with us when planning your catering.

Sustainability Clause

Surrey Pantry Kitchen will take reasonable, practical steps to reduce the environmental impact of its catering services, including seasonal menu planning, responsible sourcing, careful portion planning and the use of reusable or recyclable materials where suitable.

For events in the Surrey Hills and elsewhere, clients and venues are asked to support these efforts by providing appropriate waste and recycling facilities, agreeing access and collection arrangements, and helping to protect grounds and natural habitats.

Any specific sustainability requirements, specialist packaging or additional waste-removal services must be agreed in advance and included in the quotation. All arrangements remain subject to food safety requirements and the facilities available.
